So I joined moonquill, and since there’s no guide, I decided I might as well make one.
I’ll update this later on, adding more stuff as I discover it. Feel free to write more things in the comments - I’ll edit the thread.
Hoho, I guess I just got used to NUF layout and community. Well, let’s see how this goes
So, moonwalkers, here’s your guide:
How to Moonwalk Guide
(do ya like that - “moonwalk”)
1 - Username
If you entered using your Google or Facebook account, your username will be automatically generated as a set of numbers. You can edit it when you go to your Profile.
(for everything that is beautiful and worthwhile in this wide wide world, just edit your username. I cannot handle seeing these strings of numbers) (○｀･Д･´)9 1235486563210
2 - Avatar
On the General Account → Head to Profile. Click on your existing avatar to change it.
256x256, 500kb max
When you register on Moonquill and go on forum afterwards, your username will be the same as on your general account, but you will need to add your avatar once again
I tried adding the same avatar to Forum account as the one on General account, but I had an error message popping up, saying that smth went wrong, and I can’t upload that image.
After a bit tweaking, I found the avatar dimensions that would work: 104x104
So, to change your avi on the forum, try the 104x104 size if 256x256 doesn’t work
Add an avatar. Else, what will be shown is the first letter of your username, on a colourful background making this forum look like a box of colourful crayons.
3 - Adding Buttons
When you head to your profile page on the forum, you can ‘add buttons’ when you click right next to Points word. That means you can add links to websites - you can add your social media ( Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest etc). Also, Ko-fi, Scribble Hub, Amazon and many others. That’s pretty comfy d(￣▽￣o)
4 - Night Mode
Click on your username in the upper right corner to see a menu. You can select a Night Mode option there if you want
5 - Settings
That’s an important one. Again, go to that menu and go to Profile. There you can set your preferences regarding notifications. Disable what you don’t need
6 - Discord link
Moonquill has a discord link, where they post announcements and where you have a community. I don’t really understand what’s the difference between the community here on forum and there on discord, since I haven’t checked it out yet, but here’s the link to everyone searching:
That’s it for now ヽ(゜～゜o)ノ
